How to Fit PVC Wall Panels

WHICH INSTALLATION METHOD?

All of our wall panels have a built in natural language and groove interlocking system that is watertight and creates a flush terminate. Our panels can be installed using one of the following methods –

(Please note installation method is personal choice and preference, you should choose the best method that will accommodate your specific renovation)

Adhesive & Silicone –
The majority of wall panels tend to be installed directly onto a plastered wall or ceiling, or directly on acme of tiles. To salve time and mess the panels can also be installed directly on top of ceramic tiles using silicone. If you are going on top of a porous surface such as plaster we recommend using a solvent free agglutinative (Pink Grip).

Adhesive & Pins, Screws Or Staples –
You tin can pin, screw or staple the panels at either side of the boards where the natural language and groove interlocking system is located (pins will exist hidden once another panel is slotted into place) this will hold the panels in identify whilst the adhesive sets in.

Recommended Tools

Fine Tooth Saw (14 teeth per inch is ideal) or Jigsaw
Stanley Knife
Record Measure out
Skeleton Gun
Adhesive (MUST BE SOLVENT Complimentary)
Silicone
Pins, Staples or Screws (if using in installation)
Spirit Level
Pencil
Double Sided Tape

Installing Ceiling Panels

TIP: Earlier yous cut any panels to length, measure out the width of the ceiling. If you are installing a console with a argent feature strip, you lot may demand to cutting the kickoff and last console forth its length to accomplish a 'counterbalanced' wait. This will avoid finishing off with a thin strip when you lot come up to fit the final console.

Measure the length of your ceiling using the tape measure out, and transfer it to the panel, marking a straight line beyond it with the pencil. Cut to size with the saw or jigsaw.
Remove whatever protective film from the front of the panel.
Run a generous amount of adhesive/sealant on the dorsum of the panel, and secure to your ceiling using the screws, staples or pins through the tongue of the panel approximately every 30cm.
Repeat the process for each panel, pushing them firmly together using the tongue and groove profile for a slap-up terminate.
To trim effectually the edge of your ceiling, yous tin use Quadrant, Coving, or Finish Caps.

TIP: The Coving Trim is easier to fit by removing the lip from the back with a Stanley Knife and discard it. Fix to the ceiling and wall direct using a combination of silicone and double-sided tape (run a bead of silicone along the wall, and position the double-sided tape to the edge of the trim that volition stick to the ceiling). The double-sided record holds the trim in place while the silicone sets.

FINISHING TRIMS.

To trim around a window, utilize an external rigid angle. Mitre the corners and fix using a combination of double sided tape and silicone
Skirting Board can be used for a neat end at floor level
Finish Caps tin can exist used if you are but partially cladding your walls, for a neat vertical or horizontal finish
'H' Trims tin can be used if you desire to join panels together (to extend length or create upshot)
